Warranty


SYM undertakes to warranty its products against any manufacturing defects for a period of 24 months from the date of first registration, provided that the warranty conditions are respected. The warranty conditions are set out in the User, Maintenance and Warranty Manual, supplied with each new vehicle. The warranty conditions can be downloaded from the website www.symuk.co.uk. The warranty conditions are always subject to limitations, clearly indicated in the User, Maintenance and Warranty Manual and can be downloaded from the website www,symuk.co.uk






How is the Warranty activated? 


The dealer will activate your warranty upon purchase and brief you on the maintenance and warranty conditions



How do I buy my new SYM?

 

You have two options, either the traditional way by visiting your local dealer who will guide you through the process, or you can also buy online and have the bike delivered directly to your door


Can I buy on finance? 

 

Yes all of our dealer offer competitive low rate finance deals that can be tailored to suit your needs with deposits as low as £99 to secure your new motorcycle or scooter





I've changed address or sold the bike to a new owner. Do I need to inform you?

 

No the warranty stays with the vin number of the bike, and as such, there is no need to inform us of a change of address or keeper.





If I have a problem that is covered by the warranty, what should I do?


You will need to contact your official Sym dealer. Once routine maintenance and service have been verified as being up to date, the dealer will forward the request to SYM for authorization to proceed.




Is the warranty valid only at the dealer where I bought the vehicle?


No, the SYM warranty can be redeemed at any authorized SYM dealer.

Are ordinary maintenance and servicing mandatory?


Yes, the maintenance plan must be followed in order to have a safe vehicle that maintains its original characteristics. As proof of compliance with the terms of scheduled maintenance, the official SYM dealer must issue a receipt or invoice for any work performed with details of all the operations carried out. This will act as your proof of service history and maintenance should you need to claim on the warranty

Where is the best place for Insurance?


You will be able to get insurance for your SYM with all major insurance companies in the UK but we always recommend Lexham insurance as they are very involved with the motorcycle and scooter scene and know what they are doing when it comes to motorcycle or scooter insurance. Where is my MOT due?


If you buy a new motorcycle or scooter you will not require an MOT for the first three years, if you have a used SYM or are getting close to your first MOT you can check your MOT status and due date on the .Gov website. Click Here
